1. Read the exact file requirements
Find the allowed file type (often JPG), pixel width and height, and maximum KB. These are three separate conditions. If your form requires 300 × 300 px and no more than 50 KB, changing the file extension alone will not help.
2. Check whether your dimensions are correct
Pixel dimensions describe the number of pixels across and down. A 1200 × 800 image is not 300 × 300. A square crop is one method to create exact square dimensions without stretching a face; a fit-with-padding option can preserve the entire photo when cropping is unacceptable.
3. Convert to the required file format
